Privacy Policy

The Young Entrepreneurs Society, Inc. (the "Society") has established this privacy policy to explain to you how your information is protected, collected and used, which may be updated by the Society from time to time. The Society will provide you notice of materially significant changes to this privacy policy by posting notice on the oddjobsquad.org World Wide Website.

Information Collection
We collect information when users register for password-protected services. To set up an account with the Society, you will need to provide certain contact information, such as your name, mailing address, email address, phone number, username, and password. This information will also allow the Society to contact you for certain reasons, such as informing you about events. You may opt out of receiving these messages.

Account Information
The Society will maintain records to keep track of the registered users.

Computer Information
The Society collects certain technical information for each time you request a page during a visit to this website. This information is collected from the web browser on your computer. See the section below on "Use of Cookies," which discusses how the Society obtains this information.

Collection of Information from Children
The Society does not knowingly collect, either online or offline, personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13.

Information Stored or Used
Monitoring. We may collect and monitor your personal information if you register for a password-protected account, for purposes such as sending self-publishing and confirmation emails, authenticating user accounts, providing subscription email services, registering for events, etc. We may also collect and store personal information if you provide it to the Society in feedback or comments, post it on the calendar of events, business directory and/or advertising sections of the website (the "Interactive Areas"), or if you contact the Society directly. Please do not post any personal information on the Interactive Areas that you expect to keep private.

Use of Third Parties for Fulfillment Purposes
The Society may use certain third-party processors to provide administrative services. In order to obtain these services, the Society may need to share certain personally identifiable information about users. However, those third parties will be bound by legal agreements to not use or disclose the information the Society provides them for any purpose other than to administer the service.

Use of Cookies
The web servers place and read "cookies" on our website visitors computers for a variety of purposes. Cookies are small data files that are stored on the computer of the Internet user by a web server. One important use of cookies is to validate your identity while you are logged into the password-protected sites of the Society.

Use of Non-Personally Identifiable Information
The Society may also provide aggregated, non-personally identifiable information about users to third parties for audit and statistical purposes. Because aggregated data is not associated with any particular person, these third parties will not have access to any personally identifiable information about users.

Transfers of Information for Legal Purposes
The Society may need to disclose certain information to comply with a legal requirement, such as a law, regulation, court order, subpoena, or search warrant, or in the course of a legal proceeding or lawsuit. If there is a change of control in the Society business (whether by merger, sale, or otherwise), its customer information could be sold as part of that transaction and your personally identifying information potentially used by the purchaser.

The Society may also disclose information if in the good faith belief that such disclosure is necessary to enforce the Terms of Service Agreement, respond to claims that any posting or other content violated the rights of third-parties or any laws or regulations, or protect the rights, property, or personal safety of the Society, its users or the general public.

The Society reserves the right to send you specific administrative notices that are required by law, regulation, or as needed to service your account. You may also choose to receive messages from the Society, providing you with information on certain topics, such as events. If you wish to discontinue receiving these messages from the Society, you may do so by updating your account profile or contacting the Society at any time.

Access to Data
You may access and update information stored in your account profile. Please keep your contact, account, and preference information up-to-date.

Security of Personal Information
The Society understands the need for the personal information of users to remain secure and private. The Service is provided on behalf of the Society by a third party that uses industry-recognized safeguards to protect certain sensitive information, including: encryption, controlling access to certain information or services, and maintaining reasonable physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations. Employee access to personal information is limited. Access is restricted to employees that need to come into contact with personal information in order to complete their jobs or provide users with products or services. Certain precautions taken include: (1) working with vendors and partners to protect security and privacy of user information and (2) training employees on security measures that are required of them.

Please remember that you also play a valuable part in data security. You should never share your password with anyone. If you feel your password has been compromised, you should change it immediately. After you have finished using the website, you should log out of your account and exit your browser so that no unauthorized persons can use our site under your name and account information.

Although the Society makes a good faith effort to store information in a secure operating environment that is not available to the public, the Society cannot guarantee complete security.
